Tucson Festival of Books
I had a lovely experience again this year at the Tucson Festival of Books. So well organized and so many people to talk with about BOOKS!
It was a very busy March. I’m just now catching my breath, so here are some photos from this year’s trip to Tucson for the Festival on March 12th and 13th.
Begin a journey to the high desert in silence and solitude, light and shadow, rocks and sand.
In the photo below, Glenda Armand, author, and Floyd Cooper, entertain and educate attendees about how they each do their part of creating books. Their new picture book is Pursuing Shakespeare: A Man with a Dream, an excellent perspective of what one young man overcame to become a Shakespearean actor, including leaving home and sailing to England.
Maria Elena, Ph.D. student at U of AZ shared her enthusiasm for her course of study, multicultural literature, a diversity of books for all children. A special part of the Festival is talking with University students, children, parents, teachers, and librarians, about BOOKS!
Save the weekend of March 11-12, 2017, for your own visit to the Tucson Festival of Books. You’ll feel right at home.
